Melbourne, Australia Experience Education Full time

**We have an exciting opportunity for a sales-driven Regional Manager to join our World Challenge brand at Travelopia to spearhead the Australasian growth plan in the Curriculum and Sports Tours market.**

**Operating school travel across the globe from the Australian source market, we’re passionate about enriching young people’s lives through sustainable travel and empowering students to step outside of their comfort zones and learn about themselves and their place in the world.**

World Challenge is part of the Travelopia Group, a KKR owned company, and is a leading provider of educational travel - offering a wide range of experiences for students: including expeditions, within Australia and overseas, and now expanding into a broad range of international trips covering core curriculum topics, sports tours and learning service journeys. Our people are at the centre of the organisation**:

- **we are values driven **and operate an open, candid, and positive environment where personal development is encouraged and facilitated. Blended working opportunities, a global recognition scheme, and travel opportunities are among the benefits we include as standard.

**About the role**:
As Australia opens up following prolonged covid lockdowns our Regional Manager must be focused on the widescale roll out of a new product range, Curriculum and Sports Tours in a competitive marketplace. Our Regional Manager will utilise our new CRM and reservation system to help drive an increased share of the Curriculum and Sports Tours market and successfully transition World Challenge into a brand, not only known for adventure travel, but also for international Curriculum and Sports Tours.

As this is a new product range, the Regional Manager will be expected to collaborate with other specialist Tours brands under the Travelopia banner to map out the customer journey and associated processes and systems required to streamline the selling and management of Sports and Curriculum Tours. Supported by a Digital Marketing Manager, our Regional Manager will be expected to generate leads and work to convert those that are produced through marketing activity. The Regional Manager will see a sales lead through: a campaign, to initial enquiry, to sales visit and to point of sale and then conduct a thorough handover to the relevant School Account Manager.

**What you will be doing**:

- Establish a professional LinkedIn profile to help build a strong network within the education sector
- Work closely with the global marketing team to create inspiring campaigns
- Liaise with digital partners to ensure website and applicable social media platforms are driving quality leads into sales
- Develop processes to optimise all lead types, including digital, conference and telesales
- Liaise with organisations (such as AGSA and AHISA) to develop sales leads, including attending the conferences of such organisations
- Utilise leads to book sales visits at target schools
- Establish meaningful contact with Key Decision Makers (KDMs) such as Principals / Heads, Governors and Senior Leadership Teams
- Conduct sales visits on Zoom, Teams or in person as appropriate
- Proactively analyse individual school needs and respond to their requirements
- Guide product development team in market priorities
- Utilise and keep up to date HubSpot CRM
- Proactively maintain a full diary of business development activities

**What we are looking for**:

- Experience working in the Tours/Sports market
- A proven track record of hitting new sales targets in a B2B setting - experience in the school travel sector preferred
- Driven by success. You want results and have a proven track record in developing efficient processes to optimise all lead types, including digital, conference and telesales
- A strategic thinker with great attention to detail. You’re analytical, ready to test and learn, identify what works and keep driving to achieve results
- CRM experience - HubSpot preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Passion to deliver the very best customer service
