**About the Role**

We are looking for a skilled Environmental Advisor to join our team at our Brisbane CBD office, with site travel required to support our East Coast projects. You’ll work closely with our project teams, ensuring we meet environmental compliance standards while maintaining a commitment to sustainability. As part of this dynamic role, you’ll oversee environmental management across projects, promote a positive environmental culture, and help us manage risks associated with environmental aspects.

**Here’s What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Ensure projects adhere to environmental legislation, including reviewing and maintaining compliance with the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and project approvals.
- Provide expert support to the project team in managing environmental risks, implementing effective controls, and promoting a culture of environmental responsibility.
- Conduct environmental inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring projects meet environmental standards.
- Work closely with internal teams to advise on environmental best practices and help ensure that all projects align with the environmental expectations of relevant state planning agencies.
- Assist in forecasting and planning environmental activities, preparing detailed reports on environmental performance, and ensuring accurate data input for compliance documentation.
- Review Erosion and Sediment Control Plans (ESCP) and Works Permits for compliance, ensuring mitigation measures are implemented effectively.

**You’ll bring**:

- A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in an Environmental Advisory role, preferably in civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and industry standards.
- Experience in Erosion and Sediment Control and a certification in this area (preferred).
- A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to safety, environmental excellence, and compliance.
