We currently have an opportunity for self-motivated, reliable **Environmental Projects Supervisor** who will have overall responsibility for the delivery of all environmental project aspects of the Land Management and Capability services we provide in NQLD. This role will be based in Townsville, QLD.

**What you’ll do**

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

- Development of any tender documentation for Environmental Works, tender, Evaluate and engage as required, including support with preparation and delivery to other sub-Regions as required.
- Ensuring all subsequent works undertaken by staff and Subcontractors/SMEs are in accordance with the Contract and site-specific Environmental Management Plan/s with deliverables.
- Assisting with preparation and implementation of an Environmental Management Plan within the Downer Environmental Management System Framework with reference to the Defence Environmental Management System and Environmental Clearance Certificate System.
- Research and facilitate Ecologically Sustainability Development processes.
- Assist in the implementation of the Downer Environmental Policy and other related initiatives.
- Undertake Environmental management audits as required by the Downer Environmental Management System and Defence.
- Carry out specific Environmental Inductions for all new employees and Subcontractors/SMEs.

**What you’ll bring**
- Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian Citizenship Mandatory)
- Tertiary Qualifications in Environmental Science or related fields (mandatory)
- Demonstrable experience in Environmental Project Management and Delivery (mandatory)
- Knowledge of, or experience in, the Defence industry (preferred)
- Knowledge of the relevant Environmental legislation.
- Experience and proven ability in the provision of sound advice to management.
- Demonstrated project, contract and or quality management experience.
- Must hold a current Australian Driver's License.
