APRA’s Project Delivery team is part of the Enterprise Services Division (ESD). The team is comprised of Project Managers, Change Managers and PMO and are responsible for partnering with all divisions across APRA to deliver strategic initiatives and major projects.

The team is seeking a PMO Consultant to focus on providing support to the increasing number of strategic projects as well as maintaining and enhancing APRA’s project management framework.

**About the role**:

- Monitor and report on compliance with established project methodology to ensure the organisation adheres to standards and best practices
- Support centralised Benefits Management and Cross-Project Dependency Management for formal projects
- Support the identification and management of project, program and portfolio insights (e.g. thematic risks across project portfolio, resourcing hotspots) to inform decision management
- Support the delivery of project funding requests where needed
- Support the project stage-gate review process, health checks, providing recommendations for ongoing improvements
- Review and deliver continuous improvement to existing project management framework / methodology, project reporting and governance artefacts.
- Support BAU teams with advice and guidance that uplift project discipline and knowledge of tools
- Coordinate and support internal governance and EPMO activities including financial management and resource onboarding / offboarding.
- Project / Program support as required including governance and risk tracking, reporting, and program/project administration

**About you**:

- Demonstrated PMO experience working particularly across Project Delivery, Financials and Reporting and Scheduling.
- Solid understanding of project methodology, frameworks, and concepts.
- Highly organised, good listener and influencer, robust with a flexible, ‘can do’ approach.
- Experience in implementing process improvement within a PMO
- Experience in supporting the development of project Business Cases for funding
- Strong Microsoft skills including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience working within complex environments, ideally within financial services.
- Experience working in both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall environments
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- P3O certification and Project delivery experience will be highly regarded.
