PMO Consultant (2 year fixed term)

**The role**

APRA is seeking a PMO Consultant to support a significant technology & data transformation and to set up the program management framework.

This is a 2 year fixed term opportunity.

**The team**

The Project Delivery team is part of the Chief of Staff and Enterprise Services division (ChES). The team comprises Project Managers, Change Managers and PMO and is responsible for partnering with all divisions across APRA to deliver strategic initiatives and major projects.

**Key responsibilities**
- Help develop a Program Methodology
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness. Provide training and support to project managers and teams on PMO processes and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO and project teams
- Monitor and report on compliance with established program and project methodology to ensure the organisation adheres to standards and best practices
- Support centralised Benefits Management and Cross-Project Dependency Management for formal projects
- Support the identification and management of project, program, and portfolio insights (e.g. thematic risks across project portfolio, resourcing hotspots) to inform decision management
- Support the delivery of project funding requests where needed
- Support the program and project stage-gate review process, health checks, providing recommendations for ongoing improvements
- Support BAU teams with advice and guidance that uplift project discipline and knowledge of tools
- Coordinate and support internal governance and EPMO activities including financial management and resource onboarding / offboarding.
- Project / Program support as required including governance and risk tracking, reporting, and program/project administration
- Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive documentation and records. Ensure lessons learned from projects are documented and shared across the organization

**About you**

You will bring demonstrated PMO experience working particularly across program and or project delivery, financials, and reporting and scheduling, with solid understanding of project methodologies, frameworks, and concepts. Experience working in both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall within complex environments (ideally financial services), with P3O certification and project delivery experience highly regarded.

To be successful in this role you be proactive, organised, and thorough. Prioritising stakeholder management and working with them for the most effective impact. Working as part of a small team, you will embrace diverse views and work towards mutually beneficial outcomes, seeking collaborative ways to achieve optimal outcomes. As the team evolves, you will embrace and participate in change, contributing to change initiatives.
