About the role

- Pink Hope is a preventative health hub supporting the ‘high-risk for cancer’ community to assess, manage and reduce their risk of breast, ovarian and prostate cancer. Their vision is that every Australian is informed and supported to manage their risk of hereditary cancer and they do this through three pillars of Support, Education and Advocacy. They run targeted and evidence-based health campaigns based on key health messages around hereditary cancer. Pink Hope works collaboratively with healthcare professionals, Family Cancer clinics and other not for profits to advocate for better outcomes for the community including earlier diagnoses, risk reduction and better treatment options.The Fundraising Specialist is a newly-created role responsible for establishing and growing income and philanthropic relationships to support the work of Pink Hope. This role will develop the fundraising program and drive support through key income streams including grants, community fundraising, corporate partnerships, donation drives, plus a review, revision and reporting on an annual fundraising campaign.

Reporting to the CEO, your key responsibilities will be creating realistic targets and KPIs, developing proposals and partnership pitches across trust and foundations and corporate partners, developing and implementing effective fundraising campaigns and fostering fundraising champions within Pink Hope’s community. You will support the development of a prospective and existing donor pipeline and implement a donor engagement and communications plan.

ABOUT YOU:

- Relevant experience in a similar role, working across multiple fundraising streams. Community fundraising
and/or campaigns work is an advantage,
- Demonstrated experience in successful grant writing,
- Well-developed interpersonal, relationship-building, donor relations and communication skills, both oral
and written,
- Strong working knowledge of fundraising and donor communications as well as the donor journey,
- Highly developed administration and organisational skills, with ability to coordinate with stakeholders,
- Excellent project and time management skills and able to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks,
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team as well as independently,
- You are agile, with the ability to identify and initiate change in response to changing circumstances,
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite and web-based communications and technology, and
demonstrated experience using fundraising-specific CRMs,
- Certificate or Diploma in Fundraising, Marketing, Sales, Philanthropy or similar is essential.
