**The Role**
Our client is seeking a Principal Security Advisor for their Threat Management team. You will be responsible for delivering key operational areas and projects, providing technical expertise, and serving as a thought-leader for cybersecurity throughout the organization.
Some Key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring, Detection & Alerting systems to detect, assess, and respond to security threats and incidents from internal and external sources.
- Incident Response to remediate security incidents (or suspected incidents) by taking immediate action, engaging with other teams/partners as required, undertaking post-incident review, and recommending preventative actions/controls.
- Technical Investigations to perform investigation support and knowledge to Monitoring, Detection & Alerting activities as well as Incident Response actions.
- Hunting Activities to maintain and develop a fit-for-purpose hunting framework that will provide quality outcomes, reports and assurance around hunting activities being performed.
- Threat Intelligence to develop and help maintain a fit-for-purpose Threat Intelligence capability including tooling, information, and usage guidelines that enable the detection and identification of threats and incidents in a timely manner.
- Automation & Orchestration to develop and help maintain a fit-for-purpose Automation & Orchestration capability to allow faster, more accurate and repeatable processes around cyber security activities to take place.
- Provide technical skills development, knowledge sharing, guidance, training, and advice to other Security staff within the organization and the Threat Management team
**About You**:
- A minimum of 10 years of hands-on technical IT Security experience is desirable.
- Experience leading incident response, running high-performance detection/alerting systems, and performing technical investigations is extremely desirable.
- Experience with technical hunting activities and threat intelligence is extremely desirable.
- Experience with some or all: detection and alerting, incident response, technical investigations, hunting, threat intelligence, automation and other related tools and technologies.
