Receptionist / Dental Assistant

To meet with increasing demands of our clinic, exciting opportunities are available for a **part time/casual Receptionists and Dental Assistants** to help at a dual specialist dental practice (Orthodontics and Special Needs). These are two separate positions with potential to be full time. Dental experience is preferred but not a must.

**About the positions**

For dental receptionist
- Meet and greet patients, carers, guardians, and parents
- Manage all incoming phone calls for the practice
- Schedule patient appointments and perform follow-up communication
- Communicate bookings and patient needs with specialist dentists and other staff in the clinic
- Process payments, health insurance rebates and other claims
- Maintain patient records and other computer systems and databases

For dental assistant
- Chair-side assisting
- Room preparation
- Sterilisation
- Processing dental x-ray
- Stock-take

For both positions:

- Assist with the specialist dentists
- Process dental instruments and maintain a clean and tidy work environment
- Working With Children's Check
- Work well with other members of staff
- Training, support and mentorship will be provided
- Immediate start.

For dental receptionist:

- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Passionate in providing a high level of care to our patients
- Capable of working in a team and is a team player
- Can work well unsupervised and be proactive
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- Have good computer skills and willingness to learn
- Multilingual skill (i.e. being able to speak Chinese and English) will be highly desirable

For dental assistant
- Awareness and knowledge of current infection control standards/policies & sterilization
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- Good communication skills
- Prior dental assisting experience will be desirable but not essential
