Your role will help drive the delivery of the department's strategic direction and will be an integral part of the government's Queensland Economic Recovery Plan. As Principal Policy Officer in the Manufacturing Programs team, you will: - Assist in the review and assessment of departmental grant applications in support of delivering the Queensland Government's strategies for developing and growing the manufacturing industry and supply chains. Assist delivery of projects outlined in the Advanced Manufacturing 10-year Roadmap and Action Plan across Queensland. Develop effective working relationships and liaise and negotiate with other State agencies, and other levels of government, community groups, non-government organisations and the private sector on a range of key issues associated with industry policy and supply chain development. Provide advice on legislation, policy and program implementation, issues and trends to inform the development of government strategies and initiatives, within tight timeframes. - Prepare reports, briefing materials and correspondence as required. Represent the department at interdepartmental and inter-agency meetings and forums.
