Engagement Officer

Are you passionate about building partnerships, driving educational innovation, and making a real impact in the geosciences and mining sector? The Geological Survey of NSW (part of NSW Resources) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Engagement Officer to join our team and help shape the future of the industry in New South Wales.

**About the Role**

As the Engagement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in addressing industry skills shortages by:

- Fostering strong relationships across mining, geosciences, education, and vocational training sectors.
- Developing and delivering innovative educational programs for schools, universities, and vocational training providers.
- Promoting the W B Clarke Geoscience Centre as a centre of excellence for research, technology, and collaborative education.
- Leading projects and initiatives that bridge skills gaps and attract new talent to the sector.
- Representing NSW Resources at industry, educational, and community events, making geoscience accessible and engaging for all.

**What We’re Looking For**

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Diploma of Education, or equivalent, as well as a current Class C drivers’ licence.

You’ll also need:

- Demonstrated expertise in building collaborative networks with industry and educational stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and delivering high-quality educational and training programs.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Both a current first aid certificate and a current NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain as a condition of employment).
