**ABOUT THE COMPANY.**

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Engagement Officer to provide administrative support to an incredibly supportive and fun team within Council. You will play a key role in supporting 3 Communications Officers. You will receive coaching and mentoring in this position and will be provided with training in utilising Council's internal systems. Join this team on an initial 1 month contract, which has the potential to be extended.

**ABOUT THE POSITION.**

As the Community Engagement Officer will be reporting to the Coordinator of Communications and Engagement. You will play a pivotal role in monitoring engagement activities, providing administrative assistance as well as building and maintaining constructive relationships. Council are looking for someone who is driven, well-spoken, well presented and reliable.

**DUTIES.**
- Provide administrative assistance to the team and liaise with key members of this Local Council
- Develop and implement community engagement activities such as surveys, focus groups, workshops etc.
- Utilising internal correspondence management systems and databases
- Report writing, formatting and creating of documents

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.**
- Relevant Administrative qualifications and/or relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working experience in using the whole Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong time management skills in order to effectively handle competing priorities
