**The Role**
An opportunity for an APS6 Financial Advisor exists within one of Defence’s high priority areas in the Maritime Explosive Ordnance System Program Office (MEOSPO). As an APS6 Financial Advisor, you will perform and achieve complex financial management work within an integrated workforce to help accelerate capability acquisition and sustainment activities within the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Enterprise.

You will provide reliable professional advice and outcomes, utilising the associated people and financial responsibilities, and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.

Every day will be different as you embrace opportunities to:

- Manage financial support, contribute to budget preparation and financial performance monitoring and reporting for a range of guided weapons and munitions;
- Coordinate financial governance requirements and promote compliance to financial management frameworks;
- Use knowledge and experience of financial management to provide advice on Defence and government financial matters; and
- Design and recommend solutions to financial management issues.

You will also have the opportunity to further your career through a comprehensive professionalisation program. Excellent written and oral communication skills are an integral aspect of this role. You must be able to network/communicate at all levels including engaging with outside organisations to achieve MEOSPO objectives.

**About our Team**
MEOSPO is an integral part of Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) within Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Delivery Division which is part of GWEO Group. Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services). We are located in Canberra, Penrith, Ipswich, RAAF Amberley and Rockingham (HMAS Stirling) and our focus is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.
