Access and Resources Library Technician

This position reports to Team Leader Library Customer Experience. This position services both internal and external stakeholders, including library members, library staff, and the general public. In this role you will: - Deliver high quality customer service at council library facilities that is responsive to community need. - Support access to library resources and services through home delivery and resource sharing. **Key Responsibilities** - Deliver high quality customer service across the library service to ensure customers have a positive experience characterised by active engagement, providing direction to library officers as required. - Participate in rostered library customer service shifts at library facilities or outreach points and proactively engage with customers to maximise their use of resources, equipment, technology and online platforms. - Liaise with home delivery service clients, and residential facilities to determine service needs and seek opportunities to improve resource access. - Support the delivery of learning, literacy and outreach programs across the library service and at external locations. - Contribute to the Collections team, through maintenance and development of the library collection, the weeding program, collection improvement initiatives, and providing input in relation to area of responsibility.
