The Opportunity
As a member of the library leadership team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the planning, management and delivery of a range of projects and administration functions to realise business efficiencies in identified areas of need.
- Reports to the Library Services Coordinator
- Leads the Library Operations supports team and casual staff
- Engages with staff from the Public Libraries Victoria network, Libraries Victoria and relevant suppliers
Key Responsibilities
- Organise the information management function of the business unit and implement and monitor a SharePoint system for collecting, storing and accessing key information and processes to support staff in the performance of their duties.
- Coordinate the collation and development of local work instructions to support the efficient and sustainable operation of Council library facilities and Library Access Points.
- Create, monitor and update a series of learning modules to support the effective onboarding of new staff and provide reference guides for existing staff.
- Oversee the administrative support of the library centres, ensuring the day-to-day operations of the facilities are performed efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare and present reports to stakeholders, detailing relevant statistics and analysis relating to the operations of the libraries.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- A tertiary qualification acceptable for professional membership (librarian) of the Australian Library and Information Association together with public library experience, or significant progress towards that qualification together with a lesser library qualification and relevant public library experience.
- Demonstrated experience/knowledge in collection development and collection trends within public libraries.
- Proven experience in project management, and online content creation to achieve process improvements.
- Hold a current Victorian driver's licence.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
