The Transport Network Security and Resilience (TNSR) Branch has a state-wide focus on the coordination of TMR's emergency management and transport security framework. TNSR has three major components; Office of the Chief TNSR, Emergency Risk and Resilience (ERR) and Transport Security (TS).

The Transport Security discipline lead's Queensland's Transport Security Program to prepare TMR and the surface transport industry against security incidents, including terrorism, by working closely with Commonwealth, State (particularly, the Department of Premier and cabinet and Queensland Police Service) and Local Government agencies and surface transport industry stakeholders.

In the role of Principal Advisor (Critical Infrastructure) you will deliver a program of works which facilitates the development, implementation and review of strategic and operational policy and programs which assist in the protection of Queensland's transport system from terrorism and other security risks within a collaborative, all-hazards, resilience framework.

**The accountabilities of this role include**:

- The research, analysis and conduct of protective security assessments of critical and essential infrastructure to enhance the security of the State's transport network and systems.
- Oversee, guide, and manage the performance provisions of the policy, governance and strategic developments of the Critical Infrastructure Program. Monitor trends in protective security policy and strategy direction at the national and state level.
- Enable the coordination of government and industry security engagement activities. Promote an intelligence led, risk management-based approach to the achievement of all hazard's preparedness objectives. Harness diverse stakeholder interests to achieve common security outcomes.
- Cultivate and maintain robust working relationships with infrastructure owners and operators, industry bodies and government agencies. Coordinate the systematic delivery of security policy and program advice, influencing best practice security risk management outcomes, and collaborating across emergency management and security stakeholders to support and enhance security awareness in the transport sector.
- Enable high performance across the TNSR team, working with Commonwealth, State and Local governments, across multiple agencies.
- Promote, contribute, and lead an intelligence-led and risk-based approach to Queensland's management to the threat of terrorism and other security risks within the surface transport sector.

This role reports to the Director (Transport Security).

TMR is currently considering the implementation of a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy whereby it would be a condition of employment for TMR employees to be and remain fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
