Thales Australia & New Zealand Ground Transportation (GTS) business unit is a prime contractor and system integration business delivering smarter and safer solutions across Australia and New Zealand’s public transport, rail and road networks. Thales Australia GTS is contracted to design and deliver the Central Control System (CCS), and Communications system (COM) for the Sydney Metro City and Southwest Project. The Project is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced System Engineer as a CCS Technical Lead for interfacing and IVVQ activities.

**KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

As a CCS System Technical Lead, you are accountable for:

- Coordination with CCS system and software teams (Thales Hong Kong) to ensure proper CCS baseline and CCS delivery
- Consolidate and validate the input baseline for planned software releases
- Manage CCS technical integration with other subsystems
- Representative of Thales for CCS system in front of the customer
- Ensure proper ramp-up in competency of local team
- Technical Authority on Site for CCS
- Ensuring a smooth handover of Installation team to CCS T&C team
- Technical support on CCS and troubleshooting on site
- Migration & Cutover strategy understanding and implementation for CCS
- CCS Interface management for T&C on site and in the lab
- Negotiations with customer and Interface Contractors to optimize overall schedule via technical solutions
- Active participation in System Integration Testing
- Contribution to City and SW FQRs (consolidation of all stations TQRs)
- CCS IVVQ Contribution to Final Handover
- Participation in impact assessment of ECRs
- Ensure CCS Design Interface Technical Coordination with:
**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
Tertiary system engineering qualification or relevant
- 10+ years previous experience of working with Thales CCS.
- Previous Brownfield & Greenfield environment experience in the Transport industry
- Practical experience in System engineering and IVVQ
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimum supervision
- Experience in DOORs
- Soft skills to manage large transversal teams
