**About Explorers**
Explorers Early Learning is a family-owned and operated company with Early Learning Centres across Melbourne. Our beautiful learning spaces are designed to stimulate children’s creativity, imagination and sense of belonging.
Our philosophy is guided by the Reggio Emilia approach. At Explorers, our purpose is to nurture children's curiosity and exploration of the world. **Our Armadale centre**:
At the end of 2021, we opened our beautiful new Centre in Armadale with the existing team and families from our old building. Our Centre is purpose-built over two levels with nine rooms. We always promote growth and career progression at Explorers, with two out of three of our Centre Leadership Team being promoted from within We are close to Armadale Train Station, two tram lines, and have a spacious underground car park. Guided by the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach, our indoor and outdoor learning spaces have been carefully considered and designed to stimulate children’s creativity, exploration and sense of belonging.
**The Role**:
To be successful in leadership roles at Explorers Early Learning, we would like to see experience in leading and managing teams. We value our educators and want to help them grow in their career within Explorers, which means providing feedback, coaching and guidance, and celebrating success within the team.
Along with supporting in the daily running of the centre we are looking for someone who can build relationships with the families, children, educators and the wider community
This is a full-time position where you need to be flexible to work both ends of the day so you can build those relationships with the families and the teams.

**How can you support us as the**
**_Assistant Director_**
- In collaboration with the Centre Director, oversee and support implementation of educational program
- Management of service in the absence of the Centre Director
- Lead and develop quality staff
- Build and maintain quality relationships with children, families and the community
- Comply and exceed with all relevant regulations, NQS and Explorers policies and procedures
- Build and maintain high occupancy of the service
**Key requirements**:
- Diploma level Early Childhood education and care qualification in accordance with the Education and Care Regulations 2012
- Minimum 4 years experience in Long Day Care
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Management role
- A sound understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach
- Current First Aid training certificate
- Current Working With Children Check
- Working rights
- Visa / Passport
