Our client is a NSW department of the government & they're looking for an IT/Cybersecurity Policy Officer for a 6 month contract.

THE ROLE:
This role is responsible for the coordination and delivery of cybersecurity strategy and related policy. The main accountabilities include the following:

- Develop and communicate strategy, policies, standards and guidelines to ensure the department and their clients reach maturity with cybersecurity compliance
- Liaise and build positive engagement with clients and external stakeholders to understand their needs
- Maintain a broad expertise in emerging cybersecurity risks, trends and technologies to assist stakeholders and clients understanding these risks, their impacts in practice and how to manage them
- Assist with mandatory reporting requirements for Government
- Support the Information Security Management System
- Analyse and interpret complex information to ensure appropriate cyber strategies are being implemented

YOU:

- You must have a risk background, be able to review policy requirements and asses the cyber security risks
- You will need to be skilled in writing policies
- Demonstrated experience and a record of achievement in cyber governance in a large and complex service industry organisation
- Be able to manage and oversee complex aspects of cybersecurity governance, including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, reporting, issue and risk management
