**About the Company**
The Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM) is a multidisciplinary society whose mission is to advance the clinical practice of diagnostic medical ultrasound for the highest standards of patient care. ASUM's research provides education and set standards of practice in this continually developing specialty.

**About the Role**
As the Policy & Standards Officer, you will manage and provide support around policy and advocacy and work closely with the Standards of Practice Committee and ASUM members. You will conduct research and collate information to develop new and update existing policies and standards to leverage outcomes.

**About the Person**

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Lead policy development from research to delivery
- Writing new or updating existing policy
- Liaise and support the Standards of Practice committee
- Support and liaise with the committee on updating current standards or introducing new standards to the industry
- Ensure effective and constructive engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Consult, liaison, and advice on issues affecting the sector
- Undertake research and analysis on key issues impacting the industry
- Working with various internal and external stakeholders on policies and standards

**To be successful you will have**:

- Experience working in policy and advocacy
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and adaptable
- Ability to drive an outcome and collaborate with a team
- Ability to build and manage working relationships
- Ability to develop, facilitate and present content across a variety of channels to different audiences
- Experience in negotiating policy and advocacy
