Job Title: Venue Manager - Henry Sugar wine bar & restaurant. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Venue Manager to join our team at Henry Sugar. We are a local natural wine & cocktail bar and restaurant. We are known for serving contemporary Australian cuisine, using native ingredients across the food and beverage program. Our restaurant has a tight knit, enthusiastic team that is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and providing our guests with an unforgettable drinking and dining experience while maintaining a welcoming, casual environment. As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for all the usual duties of the operation of the restaurant and venue, including overseeing, rostering & hiring FOH staff, beverage costings, organising and managing events, and ensuring a great work culture for staff. You will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant. You will work with head chef and the owners to deliver an amazing food & beverage offering, while maintaining professional yet laid back experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities:

- Ensuring excellent service and high-quality food and beverages for guests
- Fostering a positive, inclusive and relaxed work environment and culture for staff
- Staff rostering and management
- Hiring and training of new staff members
- Hitting costing targets and negotiating pricing
- Organising and managing events and identifying opportunities
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant Requirements:

- Proven experience in management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Passion for and a strong knowledge of wine
