**About Us**:
Bundamba State School is situated in the busy growth corridor of the eastern Ipswich area in South East Queensland. The school is attached to the metropolitan education region. Our school has a clear focus and a rigorous approach to teaching and improving the reading, and numeracy standards of our students. All key learning areas are taught inline with the Australian national curriculum.
Our school runs a strong support program for students who are not achieving to their potential. We have two full time support teachers for literacy and numeracy, a full time guidance officer, a chaplain and a learning engagement officer to assist students and our community. The mission of Bundamba state school is to create a community of empowered learners in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust. In partnership with the parents and the community, every student will be inspired to learn and accomplish academic, social, physical and cultural goals to become a contributing citizen.
**About the Role**:
The role requires a strong background in inclusive processes including the ability to identify data trends to determine supports for students, enabling access to quality curriculum and education. You will have a strong sense of team and be proactive in leading school wide inclusion by providing curriculum leadership in the area of special education leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students. You will have strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community. A key responsibility is in using analytical skills to contribute to educational outcomes at an individual and school level while effectively managing human, financial and physical resources to deliver high quality organisational outcomes.Bundamba State School prides itself on maintaining an organisational culture based on ethical professional and personal behaviours and corporate value. You will be an integral member of the Inclusion and Engagement Team and work alongside teachers and school staff as we continue to prioritise school improvement.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Participate in school decision making processes as well as professional development to contribute to school goals, vision and planning.
- Implement and coordinate school-wide systems including data systems to monitor students with disability and record the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability.
- Form and maintain partnerships with parents, other government agencies, and community groups to support students with disability.
