About the School
Claremont Special School is a large metropolitan special school based in Silkstone, Ipswich. About the Role
This Head of Department (Curriculum) roles are offline 2 days per week and on class one day per fortnight. The successful applicants may negotiate additional FTE up to full time as Teacher which will be used to provide NCT within their sector of the school.

**The responsibilities of these roles include**:

- Delivering high quality lessons within their sector
- Act as line manager for teaching staff
- Have co professional responsibility for building capacity of teachers within their sector
- Support the HOD-C to deliver the CARF framework
- Have co responsibility for the transition programs of students into and out of their sectors.

About You

**The successful applicants will exceed in this role by**:

- Being a strong teacher with a demonstrated record of making a positive impact on learning outcomes for students with a disability.
- Having a deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum and its implementation within a Special School setting.
- A demonstrated the capacity to act as instructional leader placing teaching and learning at the forefront of your decision making.
- Promoting the benefits of of professional learning to all staff and ensure that their willingness and efforts to learn and improve are recognised.
- Strong time management and relational leadership skills.
