We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated **Injury Management Coordinator** to join our team in** Sydney or Melbourne** on a **full-time basis** to assist with rehabilitation and timely return to work of injured and/or ill employees.

**More about this role**:
Reporting to the local Health, Safety and Environment Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of processes associated with the rehabilitation and timely return to work of injured and/or ill employees at your designated sites, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements and dnata Catering policies & procedures.

**In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are**:

- Sydney Based - covering 10 businesses in NSW, ACT & QLD.
- Melbourne Based - covering 6 businesses in VIC, SA, WA & NT.
- Provide training to all stakeholders on the dnata Catering injury management process, focusing on early intervention and building a positive rehabilitation and return to work environment.
- In conjunction with Site Management, identify and maintain a list of potential suitable duties for injured employees returning to work.
- Maintain an up-to-date list of preferred medical support providers for the sites under your control.
- Liaise with site Management as soon as possible following injury or illness to a Staff member.
- Support triaging those injuries or illnesses in conjunction with the injured employee, Supervisor, or Manager to ensure quick and appropriate medical treatment is made available.
- Where possible, attend the initial doctors’ consultations with the injured person at the local clinic.
- Coordination of activities and communication with internal and external stakeholders such as: Treating health practitioners, Occupational rehabilitation specialists, Insurance company, and Workers Compensation Bodies in a timely manner.
- Maintain contact with the site Management and / or injured employee where appropriate to monitor the progress of their recovery and return to work.
- Support identification of areas of opportunity within your sites of responsibility to reduce injury or illness of employees and potential claims.
- Maintain the SOLV Injury database with information relating to all claims under your control.
- Regularly report to the business on the ongoing performance of our injury management process in relation to relevant safety performance indicators.

**What do you need to be successful in securing this role?**
- Cert IV Personal Injury Management, Workers Compensation / Injury Management Coordinator training, Rehabilitation and Return to Work training/qualification, or similar would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated capability working in a similar position within a multi-site organisation.
- Understanding of applicable State / Territory Workers compensation schemes (case management experience will be highly regarded).
- Sound understanding of return to work and rehabilitation processes.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Able to build effective and influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Current full driver license.
