**Job Description** SGS is seeking a Workers Compensation and Injury Management Advisor to join the team in Perth.**

**Duties include, however not limited to**:

- Effective Lead Management for the life cycle of all claims, including national workers compensation and non-work related injuries/illnesses.
- Guide, coach and support Leaders on injury management and worker’s compensation processes, including proactive injury prevention strategies and the implementation of supportive, efficient and effective return to work practices.
- Lead the coordination of fitness for work requirements including the coordination of Random Drug and Alcohol testing.
- Liaise with medical providers and support Operations to arrange medical bookings as required.
- Assist with the classification, collation, analysis and preparation of reporting for incident and injury statistics including identification of trends and emerging issues.
- Ensure policies, procedures, guidelines and other relevant documentation are current and representative of each state’s legislative requirements.
- Assist with the development, implementation and continual improvement of health and wellness initiatives, development of resources and writing of articles for internal use.
- Maintain the health and wellness and Pre-Employment and Health Surveillance Medical SharePoint Pages.
- Establish and maintain professional networks and key partnerships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including Corporate Health Insurance Provider.
- Completion of a tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene, Injury Management, or relevant discipline and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated Knowledge of hygiene, health promotion, and workers’ compensation claims management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian legislation relating to Workers Compensation, Occupational Health & Safety and subsidiary documents such as standards and Codes of Practice.
- Previous experience in a similar position with national multi-business activity preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in Workers Compensation Claims and Injury Management.
- Understanding of the safety issue resolution and risk management principles.
- Knowledge of safety management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a cohesive professional team.
