Stamford Plaza Melbourne is a five -star hotel located at the ‘Paris end’ of Little Collins Street in the heart of the shopping and theatre district.
Stamford Plaza Melbourne is looking for an experienced Banquet Supervisor to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our conference and event space.
As a Banquet Supervisor you will be responsible for
Attending to planning duties in the lead up to events such as attending BEO meetings, liaising with the C&E, F&B and Kitchen teams about event requirements.
Reading the event resume to ensure a complete understanding and knowledge of the event.
Ensuring all room sets, bar and back of house areas are completed within timeframes ready for service.
Be the main point of contact for guests during functions.
Supervising team members and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service.
Hands on services during the events as required.
Assisting in the training and development of team members and conducting event briefing prior to service with team members.
Deal with guest complaints following correct hotel procedures.
Conduct and manage inventory
Prepare fortnightly rosters.
Other task as required.
**We are looking for a person with the following attributes**:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, within the hotel industry.
Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality Management (highly desirable).
The natural ability to create a positive experience for our guests and a fun and energetic work environment for our team.
Passion for customer service
Proven communication, leadership, time management and organisation skills.
Proactive problem solving and decision making skills.
Strong leadership skills and experience.
Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
