An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and committed
**Garment Technician/ Production Coordinator** to join a dynamic team at Unison.

This role will assist throughout the product development process by supporting the Production Manager and Design & Buying Team in maintaining production schedules and detailed handover style packs to ensure product is delivered on time; to pre-determined quality and specification requirements.
- Please note: This is a Fixed Term Contract of 6 months_

**THE ROLE**:

- Produce/set up and send style packs to relevant suppliers
- Maintain and update files (buy plans) with style status and details as well as filing of any new lab-dips, comments
- Supply & approve all care instructions for bulk production
- Ensure when negotiating costs company target margins are met
- Seek alternatives suggestions from factories and/or present alternative options to Production Manager
- Assisting in the effective management of the Womenswear production schedule
- Manage and run fittings of garments for offshore styles
- Prior to fittings ensure all offshore garments are measured against spec and any fit, styling or workmanship comments noted for discussion
- Coordinate style arrival details and update the fit schedule document prior to fit sessions

**THE REQUIREMENTS**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role in production and/ or quality control
- Minimum of 3 years’ + experience with offshore production (Women's Apparel experience preferable)
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of garment construction, size specifications and fitting garments
- Experience with working with both cut and sew and woven product is essential
- An ability to prioritise and multitask
- Outstanding PC skills and clear verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Proficiency in all MS Office, specifically in Excel and Adobe Illustrator
- Experience in pattern making is advantageous
