JIVARO Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Garment Technician to join an Australian owned fashion boutique retailer reporting into Sourcing and Production Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Design team to create Tech Packs with all technical details required by the suppliers.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and adapt to changes when needed.
- Management of fitting sessions with the Design Team.
- Providing the fit comments to the suppliers.
- Maintaining consistent fit and quality.
- Fulfilment of fitting, measurement, and quality notes into technical specifications at each sampling stage (prototype to shipment sample).
- Graded specifications for final production and maintained fit standards across a wide range of sizing.
- Ensure all styles are approved in a timely manner as not to delay critical path dates/production timelines.
- Rectifying pattern problems regarding revised samples.
- Solve technical queries regarding production methods.
- Allocate care and fibre labels for all styles. This includes analysing mill recommendation and fabric test results. This includes picking up errors and getting mill to send correction.
- Measuring of pre-shipment samples; Trying garment on mannequin for fit and overall appearance.
- Checking construction, confirming care and ticketing/retail price.

**Skills**:

- 7-10 years’ experience in clothing as a garment technologist or pattern maker
- High competency of Microsoft outlook, word and excel
- Sound knowledge of Lectra Computer Patternmaking System
- Sound knowledge of grading
