What does the job look like?
- As a
- Transport Solutions Specialist
at Linfox, you’ll play a central role in developing smart, safe, and scalable transport solutions that support our national operations. Your focus will be on using data-driven analysis, network modelling, and fleet expertise to design transport strategies that are both commercially sound and compliant with heavy vehicle regulations.
- Reporting to the
- Transport Solutions Manager
, you’ll support business development projects, RFP responses, and network improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role where your ideas and insights can lead to real, measurable improvements across our fleet and customer contracts.
Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyse transport data to uncover cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
- Design and evaluate transport solutions using network modelling tools.
- Collaborate with teams across commercial, operations, fleet, and safety to deliver solutions that are practical and executable.
- Support project delivery by preparing cost models, process maps, and performance simulations.
- Present your findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor implemented solutions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Are you the one?
We’re looking for a forward-thinking problem solver with a passion for logistics and a knack for turning data into action. You’re someone who thrives on analysing complex transport problems and creating solutions that drive value—safely, sustainably, and efficiently.
- Experience working in transport planning, logistics engineering, or solution design.
- Strong understanding of Australian transport networks, fleet types, and road regulations (e.g., NHVL, PBS, CoR).
- Proficiency with data analysis and transport modelling tools.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Confidence presenting technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong time management with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and transport modelling tools (e.g., Route Optimisation or Simulation software).
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or related field (preferred but not essential).
