Taronga Conservation Society Australia (Taronga) has a rich history and wide remit in its efforts to protect endangered species, increase understanding of wildlife and inspire community action. Taronga’s work extends well beyond the care of animals within its Zoos. They lead conservation efforts in the field, operate two wildlife hospitals and have a deep commitment to conservation science. In Australia and internationally, they work with universities, governments and conservation partners to respond to a wide range of challenges.
**About the role**
This is a newly created role and will be working very closely with the authentic and capable Divisional Director of People, Culture & Safety and the team to deliver a more contemporary and high-quality P&C function through a new and evolving business partnering model. Along with leading a small team your other responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with client groups and providing proactive advice and guidance around attraction, engagement and retention, and talent management.
- Coaching and guiding managers to build people management capability.
- Providing support to the Divisional Director of PC&S on things such as award negotiations, writing policies and payroll remediation.
- Providing valuable and proactive data and insights to optimise workforce plans and people strategies.
