**About the team**

We distribute fuels and lubricants products, along with a range of supporting services, from a network of depots across QLD, NSW and WA, operate up to 100 tanker trucks and employ over 170 dedicated employees. The depot network is an integral part of the Ampol supply chain, meeting the needs of a diverse set of customers, particularly those in rural and regional locations, and also playing a valued role in the local communities in which we operate.

**About the role**:
A newly created role to develop, implement and manage a dedicated approach to sales and marketing activities across our national depot network, with SME customers being at the heart of what we do. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, marketing campaigns, loyalty programs and oversee lead generation and customer conversion to achieve our customer and volume aspirations. You will establish resources, tools, processes and systems to enable this business growth.

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, and being a key member of the Depot Operations Leadership Team, you’ll take ownership of the customer experience, and advance commercial outcomes. You will lead a team of field based Regional Sales Managers whom will be implementing the sales and marketing plans on the ground. You will also collaboratively partner with both frontline operations and other stakeholder groups across Ampol including brand, communications, legal, finance, pricing etc. to achieve sales and marketing objectives on behalf of the depot network.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a national marketing plan for depot led sales across the SME customer segment
- Collate customer data, market research and competitor intelligence, develop and manage a pipeline of new customer prospects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Set sales targets and monitor performance
- Recruit, develop and manage a team of field-based Sales Managers, support execution of significant sales opportunities
- Work collaboratively with frontline operations and other internal support/stakeholder teams Sales Managers to balance customer and commercial outcomes
- Drive positive cultural change and develop customer and commercial capability across frontline teams
- Assess existing sales and marketing tool and develop new tool, templates and processes to be caried out efficiently and effectively
- Participate in local community, customer, brand, sales or sponsorship events

**About you**:
You are a passionate, enthusiastic sales professional with strong commercial and people leadership skills. You have proven and demonstrated growth performance and executing Sales and Marketing activities within a similar role preferably in the petroleum industry.

You are pro-active, actioned oriented, display a high work ethic and is driven by achieving results and business success and outcomes.

Your strong communication and people skills enable you to thrive in strengthening key stakeholder relationships, influence direction and outcomes to further business objectives. In addition, these skills will empower you to thrive in customer service management and presenting at Senior leadership level.
