Warehouse Team Manager

We are looking for a Retail & Outbound Team Manager to provide leadership within our warehouse team, including in relation to the labour planning, output and quality of the Retail channel and outbound warehouse functions. They must ensure all checks are carried out throughout the pick and pack process.

They will be a role model of behaviour and play a crucial role in upskilling warehouse operators and be a backup to the Logistics Manager when required.

**Retail & Outbound Warehousing**
- Ensure all retail orders are picked on time, in full and despatched on the due date and according to the Retail delivery schedule
- Ensure all transfer orders to Corporate, Wholesale and Online are picked on time, in full and despatched on the due date and according to the Retail delivery schedule
- Ensure that all picking is conducted according to FIFO and MLOR rules
- Allocate staff appropriately and work with the team to ensure delivery expectations of our stores are met
- Ensure orders are completed in line with any special instructions, particularly during campaigns
- Manage order exceptions as they occur, solving resource, materials and logistic issues.
- Collaborate and liaise with other internal and external stakeholders to understand and action special requirements.
- Complete all necessary system transactions and documentation in a timely and efficient manner
- Oversee the transport of products, working closely with and communicating with the drivers to ensure efficient deliveries within the agreed delivery window
- Work closely with the relevant planner to ensure the correct allocation of stock to the relevant orders
- Respond to internal delivery queries in a timely manner and update the store managers as required
- Support all continuous projects as requested
- Work with the retail and planning team to create and implement seasonal distribution models

**Inventory Management**
- Manage stock both physically and digitally, in the FG location
- Drive a weekly cycle count process including variance investigation working with relevant stakeholders
- Work with the planning team support the root cause investigation of DIFOT failures
- Conduct root cause investigations of all dated and damaged stock
- Execute all transfer orders to the Production packing, online & CWS locations & ensure physical and digital transfers are completed as well as the adequate shelf life of product is transferred to the correct locations
- Provide monthly stocktake variance reports

**Safety**
- Ensure that warehouse staff and production team members follow correct manual handling processes whilst performing tasks on the Koko Black site
- Maintain a safe, tidy and organised work environment
- Educate and support the team on the use of all control points, equipment, and other resources
- Ensure warehouse operators use correct PPE
- Encourage staff to take responsibility for safety at all the times.
- Ensure operators following correct procedures when cleaning or changing over machines or equipment
- Report all safety incidents and hazards to the appropriate manager
- Ensure forklift trucks, company vehicles, racking and other equipment are operated appropriately in line with company policy and safety regulations

**Quality**
- Ensure that Allergens policies and procedures are adhered to
- Ensure Good Manufacturing Practises (GMP) to achieve optimal product quality.
- Maintain a tidy and organised work environment
- Report any non-conformance incidents to the appropriate manager
- Report suspected specification and process deviations to the quality manager
- Support the QA team with embedding food safety culture as required
- Adhere to HACCP standards

**People and Organisation**
- Create and maintain a healthy and motivated work environment within the team.

- Appropriately allocate staff according to the daily and weekly requirements of the business

- Monitor individual performances, providing ongoing feedback and support
- Seek to resolve any issues and conflict within the team, escalate issues as appropriate
- Train and support new team members and provide feedback on a regular basis
- Actively listen to concerns and potential opportunities raised by team members and escalate as required
- Address any non-compliance matters immediately, and where applicable report them to the appropriate Manager
