The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Programming Coordinator to research, develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate a range of NGV Public Programs.
ABOUT THE POSITION
You will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality, innovative and creative public programs, events, and activities for diverse audiences, with a focus on adult visitors and members. You will respond to audience engagement objectives relating to NGV exhibitions and NGV’s permanent collection. Other key responsibilities include:
- Participating as a key member in project teams for large-scale cross-departmental public programs and events, such as NGV Friday Nights, festivals, major events, and adult learning programs adult learning outcomes
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders and programming partners to successfully develop and deliver public programs and contribute to the planning, delivering, and evaluating initiatives with key NGV Program Partners to meet agreed objectives.
- Providing high-quality coordination and administrative skills to develop and maintain planning schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Ensuring the maintenance and collation of verbal, written and statistical records in a timely manner and contributing to developing reports, proposals, and budgets.
To be successful, you will have previous experience developing, coordinating, and evaluating innovative, engaging and high-quality audience engagement experiences within a major art institution or a similar organisation. You will be proactive and adaptable and regularly plan and track progress on work tasks, taking an organised and methodical approach to work. You will be able to maintain accurate project records and organise and coordinate administrative tasks.
A tertiary qualification in Art History or equivalent will be highly regarded.
