**Your new company**

Hays Recruitment are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a small and vibrant Local Government just 10 minutes from Fremantle. This is a 3 month placement with possibility of extension.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Manager Engineering Services, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing contractors on buildings and other works. Your primary responsibilities will be:

- Solving issues related to the maintenance and operations of Council buildings and assets
- Supervising and instructing contractors in relation to building maintenance / conservation
- Displaying safe works practices and ensuring compliance to all OHS and Road Safety requirements
- Managing budget for all aspects of restoration works
- Carrying out other duties specified by the Manager Engineering Services

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Demonstrated experience in contract management and administration, and project management
- Working knowledge of building conservation and maintenance works
- Experience in contractor management
- Current 'C' class driver's license
