**Your Opportunity**:
As the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Principal Advisor you will:
Provide leadership and direction in the planning and implementation of State Schools Division priorities, ensuring that the outcomes are aligned to, and supportive of, the department's agenda for improvement in schools.
Provide high level strategic advice to senior officers of the department and other key stakeholders on issues relevant to the specific accountabilities of the role.

**About the Role**:
As the Autism Spectrum Disorder Principal Advisor you will have responsibility for the following:

- Provide high level advice and support to senior officers of State Schools Division and other senior officers within the department on policy and strategy relating to state schools.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of State Schools Division priorities for all students in state schools.
- Contribute, as a member of the senior management team, to setting the strategic direction for the branch and ensuring the effectiveness of policies, standards and procedures.
- Coordinate and contribute to the strategic direction and activities as defined in priorities set by senior management.
- Provide ongoing evaluation of the activities and work practices within the functional area of the position to ensure alignment with changing corporate goals.
- Lead and manage multiple teams and projects and coordinate the development of systemic initiatives relating to departmental priorities.
- Ensure the optimal use of human and financial resources to achieve agreed goals, oversee the management of State and Commonwealth funds, where applicable, and manage reporting requirements.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
