In the role of Principal Advisor, Network Events you will Lead and develop appropriate event transport plans and processes in conjunction with TransLink business partners, including but not limited to service plans, controller sheets, staff rostering, operational communications, customer communications, revenue assurance and customer service arrangements.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**: - Manage Transport Contracts for all regional events and venues. Lead and develop appropriate plans and processes for delivering event transport services. Liaise directly with TransLink business partners in heavy rail, light rail and bus to resolve strategic and operational issues arising during special events and forplanned and unplanned closures on the rail network in a timely manner.Establish and maintain effective internal and external partnering relationships with TransLink's business partners in heavy rail, light rail, bus and the broader event environment, including other government departments, local government authorities, special events teams and key stakeholders. Investigate, monitor, and review incidents and resolution of customer issues and complaints about event services and during planned and unplanned rail closures, ensuring appropriate resolution. Provide a leadership role to the team to support the Manager, Network Events in a dynamic and changing environment.
**Mandatory qualifications and conditions**: - Possession of a "C" class driver's license
- Participate on an on-call roster, which will require work outside business hours, including weekends and public holidays. Willingness to work outside of working hours, including weekends and public holidays, to monitor event public transport that may include, but not limited to, New Year's Eve, Riverfire, concerts and major sporting events.
**Requirements of the role**: - Experience with event public transport would be advantageous but training would be provided for the right person. Experience in building and maintaining positive stakeholder relations. Willingness to work outside of normal office hours, at weekends and on public holidays. On call roster, currently one week in five but may change due to operational needs.
