Within the Enoggera Health Centre, the APS 4 Logistics Officer is an important member and is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex logistics inventory management work within an integrated workforce.
They are accountable to understand and comply with relevant legislative frameworks, policy, government decision-making and Defence’s mission.
**About our Team**
Joint Health Command (JHC) is responsible for the delivery of healthcare services to over 70,000 ADF personnel. Through the delivery of reliable, resilient and best practice health services, JHC enables a healthy, ready, and supported Force from enlistment through to transition from service.
Health care services are delivered through eight Joint Health regions across Australia. The APS 4 Logistics Officer position is part of Joint Health Unit - South Queensland and is based at Enoggera Health Centre, Brisbane, Queensland (QLD). Each Joint Health Unit facility provides a range of services which can include medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, rehabilitation, and in-patient care.
The JHC workforce is an integrated, multi-disciplinary team of Defence members, civilians, contractors and professional health providers. We work together to manage around one million patient health service interactions with Defence members each year. This position reports to the APS 5 Logistics Officer
We are seeking an individual who is interested in a career in the Logistics profession who is committed to supporting Defence.
You will have the ability to work autonomously in a small but diverse team, and provide coaching and training to other members as required. You will be able to adapt to changing work priorities, and to manage their work area accordingly in the achievement of moderately complex tasks.
You will understand and comply with relevant Defence policies and legislative frameworks applicable to your role, and be committed to ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

- Be able to manage and prioritise your work tasks;
- Use initiative to improve processes and be adaptable to change;
- Have experience in Inventory Management Systems, including SAP based systems or MILIS;
- Have experience in Defence Logistics or Civilian equivalence;
- Adhere to Defence Values and Behaviours.
