**The Role**
As understudy to the uniformed incumbent, you will be required to step into the role as required. Under broad direction, you will be accountable to perform and achieve complex materiel logistics, inventory and planning outcomes. You will have extensive knowledge of Defence logistics processes and be accountable for compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements. You will provide reliable professional advice and utilising outstanding communication and problem solving skills, you will provide solutions to problems assuring the delivery and coordination of logistics support for operations, contingencies, exercises and other activities, to ensure the capability requirements of the 1st (Australian) Division are met.
The effective planning and management of logistic support and sustainment, requires engagement across multiple disciplines, including but not limited to Sustainment, Procurement, Maintenance, Movements, Catering and Munitions capabilities.

You will be part of small integrated team of ADF, APS and Contract professionals specialising in logistic governance, management, planning and sustainment for domestic, regional and international operations, all outcome driven. Our team has an operational focus, is mission centred and has a dependency first mindset. The team is agile, responsive, and thrives on working closely with teams across our organisation, to solve problems and deliver smart, timely, practical and thorough planning and logistic outcomes. You will leverage your previous logistics experience and operations knowledge to achieve organisational milestones, as our team are passionate about improving logistic outcomes, and enjoy the challenge of working in an extremely fast paced, challenging and rewarding environment. Our team is based at HQ 1 (Australian) Division, Gallipoli Barracks, with some opportunity for flexible work hours and occasional domestic travel.

- Broad experience in Supply Chain Logistics, Asset Management and Distribution.
- Extensive working knowledge of Logistic Systems, particularly SAP, LOTUS Notes, COMSARM and GENESYS.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders.
- Cultivate productive and collaborative relationships, deliver quality outputs and achieve results within defined time frames.
- Actively manage high workloads, adjust and communicate competing priorities. Generate responses to complex correspondence, briefs and reports for higher delegate consideration.
