**The Role**
The Technical Logistics Officer delivers logistics services in support of supply and maintenance activities relating to the CH-47F Chinook helicopter and supporting systems in the Cargo Helicopter Management Unit.

The Technical Logistics Officer is responsible to the Logistics Manager to undertake inventory management activities, including procurement, in line with Defence Financial Policy and all Mandatory Regulations. Additionally the Technical Logistics Officer will provide advice and assistance to contractors, the Repairable Items Manager and Spares Items Manager, Logistics coordinators and additional tasking support in periods of high tempo and staff absences as directed.

The Technical Logistics Officer will support Aircraft Modification and sustainment activities through supply and management of inventory, providing SME support and advice to all stakeholders as required.

The Technical Logistics Officer will assess and action reports as directed and assist in; coordinating, establishing, entering and reviewing data in Defence data management systems (Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) & Advance Supply Chain Insights (ASCI)) as required.

The Technical Logistics Officer is required to liaise, establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external materiel sustainment stakeholders by providing timely advice and support as required.

We are flexible in enabling periodic Work from Home arrangements, however, the primary work location is Gallipoli Barracks in Enoggera.

**About our Team**
The Cargo Helicopter and Uncrewed Surveillance Program Office (CHUSPO) delivers through-life support for the CH-47F Chinook and Army Aviation System Branch supported fleet of Uncrewed Aerial Systems.

The Program Office is made up of the Cargo Helicopter Management Unit (CHMU), the Uncrewed Aerial Systems Management Unit (UASMU), the Army Uncrewed Aerial Systems Program Office (AUASPO) and the Business Management Unit (BMU).

CHMU is the CASG organisation responsible for providing sustainment (product engineering, logistics and contracting) support, and limited acquisition activities for the Army's Cargo Helicopter capability, the CH-47F Chinook Helicopter.

The Logistics team are responsible for the management and execution of CH-47F in-service logistics support and disposals (on-going), including direct responsibility of meeting inventory and Repairable item Demand Satisfaction Rates.

They will have highly developed communication skills, excellent attention to detail and have the ability to collaborate across key aviation stakeholders to achieve high quality outcomes.

- In-depth knowledge of Defence technical and logístical frameworks.
- Previous experience within the Defence environment.
- Ability to problem-solve and work to within guidelines of Defence policies.
- Ability to provide expert policy advice and guidance on key logístical matters within area of expertise.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to identify risks associated with technical and logístical activities.
