**The Role**
As a leader within the Defence Learning Technologies (DLT) team you will work to the Director DLT and be responsible for the implementation and management of enterprise technologies that enable the delivery and administration of Education and Training across the Department of Defence.

This position will focus on services that support student management and experience, curriculum development, analytics and integrations with core business systems including Defence’s enterprise Human Resources environment.

You will develop and manage a high performing team that will engage heavily with various Service, APS and Defence Industry stakeholders. Your skills in change management, stakeholder management, negotiation and business analysis will be important in defining business needs and developing proposals and innovations to senior leaders.

Your responsibilities will also include managing funding, resources, security, privacy and ensuring the functional performance of systems you’re are responsible for are managed in accordance with Departmental procedures and processes.

The Defence Education, Learning and Training Authority (DELTA), working within the Australian Defence College, ensures Education and Training across Defence is supported by high performing and resilient learning systems.

In this capacity, DELTA works to Commander of the Australian Defence College to set the strategic direction, provide higher-level policy, governance and oversight of the Education and Training Domain for all Defence: Navy, Army, Air Force, and the Australian Public Service.

This includes management of the Defence Registered Training Organisation (DRTO), developing and maintaining the Defence Learning Technology Environment (DLTE), exploring and exploiting new learning technologies to enhance access to learning, and Information Steward for the Education and Training Domain.

Within DELTA, the Defence Learning Technology team is an integrated workforce of 20 military personnel, Australian Public Service officers and supporting contractors.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a high performing, innovative technology manager who will drive the modernisation of Defence’s Learning Technology Environment (DLTE).

Leadership skills will be essential as you manage and develop a high performing team of technologists business and support personnel. Your interpersonal skills will need to be of a high order as you’ll have many opportunities to present to and interact with the senior levels of the Defence organisation.

Being self-driven, reliable, with an ability to manage competing priorities to a high standard of accuracy within allocated timeframes will be essential attributes.
