The Research Officer (Social Data Analyst) is primarily responsible for contributing to social research by working with internal stakeholders to design and program surveys, synthesise and analyse data (quantitative and qualitative) and build and maintain research databases and dashboard reporting. The role will also support the project research team on a range of discrete research and co-design activities.

Responsibilties:

- Support more senior staff in delivering project research and co-design activities, to meet program objectives and appropriate standards of scientific rigour.
- Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing research reports, to support informed decision-making and planning
- Maintain a range of collaborative networks across EHG and external stakeholders, including consultants, government agencies and other research providers to support the delivery of research and evaluation programs.
- Provide timely advice and communication within the Team and relevant stakeholders across EHG to ensure that technical and scientific considerations are properly considered.
- Actively contribute to team building, seek views and opinions of others, support science knowledge management within EHG and maintain a commitment to open communication to support effective knowledge sharing within EHG and with key stakeholders.
- Prepare a range of project related documents as instructed, including research papers and discussion papers.
- Prepare and deliver short presentations on research activities as required, to small groups using clear language, to facilitate effective implementation of co-design principles within the program.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in survey design, and research synthesis and analysis
- Well-developed data analysis skills and knowledge
- Demonstrated experience in delivering social research and/or evaluation projects
