Macmahon has a rare opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join the Underground division. Reporting to the General Manager - Underground, you will provide technical and people leadership to a variety of projects, delivering superior services to our clients. This role is primarily Perth based with regular site travel in line with operational requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure implementation of, and adherence to, Macmahon and statutory HSEQ requirements across all Underground projects
- Manage performance of each site to deliver budget revenue and margins as defined by the business plan
- Adjust strategies at sites where performance is diverting from delivering acceptable outcomes
- Review and consolidate monthly reports for submission to the Underground Business Unit
- Build strong internal and external customer focused culture and practices within the project teams to deliver positive project results
- Build a competent, engaged and performance driven workforce
- Provide appropriate development opportunities to build internal capability
- Drive continuous business improvement
- Lead change management initiatives
- Identify growth opportunities

**Qualifications & attributes**
- 15 + years Project/Contract Management experience
- Underground Mining experience
- Relevant tertiary degree qualification
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with an executive management team as an advisor and leader
- Understand mining techniques and technologies, particularly mining processes and infrastructure that are likely to deliver reasonable returns on investment
- High level of commercial acumen with relevant experience providing commercial support to key operational and corporate executives
