**UAM,** a division of the Downer Group, is a leading provider of specialist services to utility and energy organisations, government departments, councils, and major blue-chip Australian companies with offices across Australia.

Reporting into the State Manager, the **Operational Contracts Manager **will play a lead role in the operational delivery of contracts and performance to ensure client expectations are met and delivered safely. This challenging and varied role will suit an individual who is driven to meet deadlines and has great leadership skills. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Brisbane, QLD.

**THE ROLE**:

- Deliver all contractual obligations in accordance with KPI’s set by UAM and the client.
- Liaise with management on matters relating to workload, productivity, and financials.
- Ensure a Zero Harm approach is followed by all field crew including construction partners.
- Monitor the contractors progress and performance to ensure services conform to contract requirements.
- Provide training and support to colleagues and staff as necessary.
- Assist with requests for new contracts, tenders and quotes including liaison with internal and external parties.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in an Operational Management role.
- Demonstrated experience in Contractor Management.
- Proven experience with responsibility for contract and commercial outcomes.
- Able and willing to travel to different site/depots across QLD.
- Experience and understanding of the power distribution/transmission business (desirable).
- Ability to work with and sort high volumes of data and information.
- Intermediate Excel and Microsoft systems abilities.
- Competency of high-volume inspection, maintenance, and scheduling skills.
