**Facilities Management Assistant**

**Location - Perth**

**Duration - Temporary ongoing up to 12 months initially**

**Hours of work are 37 per week - 8.15am - 4.45pm Monday to Thursday (30-minute unpaid break) and 8.15am to 1.15pm on a Friday.**

**Rate of pay - negotiable**

Our client currently has a requirement for a Facilities Management Assistant to carry out maintenance activities in and around their site in line with business requirements, ensuring it is in good working order and ensuring a safe environment for all staff, visitors and contractors.

This role would suit an individual with good practical skills; painting and decorating, woodwork and basic mechanical skills. You will be willing and able to pass on the job training for Counterbalance Forklift License and MEWP License - training provided by our client.

**Your primary area of responsibility will be**:

- To carry out general maintenance activities in and around site in line with business requirements.
- General janitorial duties
- Cleaning of key safety equipment - fire extinguishers, fire exit signage and keep clear ways
- Cleaning and painting of factory surfaces as required
- Operate cleaning machines - ride on floor scrubber, hoover, leaf vacuum, etc
- Emptying of skips, scrap bags, recycling bins, cardboard baling
- Emptying of settlement tanks
- Specific hygiene tasks including cleaning canteen fridges, first aid room, operate sanitising machine as required
- Implement improvements with direction from Line Manager
