Seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join a known State Government Health department in Nedlands **Your new company** A State Government Health department based in Nedlands, is seeking an experienced and capable Facilities Manager to oversee numerous building and commercial tenancy locations in WA. You will be engaged in this role on an initial temporary basis through Hays for 6-months, working full-time hours. Ideally we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. **Your new role** As the Facilities Manager you will oversee general facilities and maintenance of numerous building and commercial tenancy locations across WA, including regional locations. Your duties will include: - Promote facilities management strategies and processes on-site - Plan and develop maintenance projects with key stakeholders based across numerous site locations, with responsibility in managing budgets, project time frames and achieved outcomes - Identify, manage and report on risks and issues impacting maintenance projects - Ensure contractors and project delivery teams are managed effectively - Visit regional office locations annually, with some rare visit requirements for any facilities-related matters of urgency **What you'll need to succeed** To be considered for this role you will have previous experience in a Facilities Management role, in addition to: - Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineer would be advantageous - Proven experience in managing mechanical, electrical and / or building services in a large scale organisation - Strong people skills with confidence in leading a team - A current "C" or "C.A" class driver's licence and your own vehicle - The ability to provide a National Police Check, or willingness to complete one **What you'll get in return** In return, you will receive: - A competitive hourly rate - A long-term temporary engagement for 6-months, with possible extensions - Stable, full-time hours - Nedlands location with paid parking facilities or convenient access to public transport **What you need to do now** 2805250
