_The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Audiology Therapy Assistant to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

Provide a defined range of clinical screening assessments and interventions as delegated
Assist audiologists in the distraction and observation of babies and toddlers for interventions
Assist in hearing aid troubleshooting and repairs
Communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of the audiology unit

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:
Working with Childrens Check
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

Temporary part time (up to 3 years with the possibility of extension, 38 hours per fortnight)
Base salary ranging from $34.53 - $36.30 per hour

Audiology predominantly supports children referred for audiological testing under the Queensland Healthy Hearing Program and patients of all ages referred by hospital specialist teams including the ENT department, Paediatrics and Child Development Services
