This role will participate in delivering projects and business development activities to capture new accounts and expand existing relationships with utilities, select heavy industrial clients, and institutional campuses. The Regional Manager, Grid Modernization will work within a multi-disciplinary team to lead small to medium sized projects and support larger grid modernization delivery engagements.
- Drive strategy, conceptual planning, & project design implementation of modernization initiatives for electric utilities
- Coordinate activities, and those of the broader project teams, to maintain project schedules & budgets to ensure successful project completion
- Lead business case justifications for modernization initiatives such as ADMS deployment, increasing distribution automation, dynamic network monitoring
- Liaise with management on the status and potential of upcoming opportunities
- Identify and pursue clients planning to create improvements to the modernization of their distribution and substation networks
- Attend trade conferences and industry association meetings, leading presentations as applicable
- Knowledge sharing within the team on best practices, and actively contribute such knowledge in team and project discussions

**You bring to the role**:

- Degree in engineering, preferably electrical; or significant equivalent industry experience
- Previous experience successfully managing project teams
- Strong understanding of market developments within the grid modernization sector
- Experience working in a consulting, advisory, or front-end study position preferred
- Senior level client-facing presentation experience, ideally with a business development & sales responsibility
- Strong technical understanding of industry leading grid modernization system elements and supportive technologies
- Experience supporting grid modernization policy creation, business model revisions & rate reform, and market access to financial incentives would be a bonus
- Understand the challenges utilities are facing with increasing DER penetration
