**About the role**
Eastern Health is seeking a committed and culturally connected leader to guide our Aboriginal Health Team and shape responsive, culturally safe primary care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
As Aboriginal Health Team Manager, you will bring cultural knowledge, people leadership experience and a deep commitment to community, leading a team dedicated to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal clients and families across our service area.
**Your impact**:
- Lead a skilled and passionate multidisciplinary Aboriginal Health Team
- Support the growth and development of Aboriginal staff
- Drive service improvement, equity and excellence in Aboriginal healthcare delivery
- Foster strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders.
**About you**
We are looking for a leader who:
- Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Brings experience in health service leadership, community engagement and staff development
- Is deeply committed to cultural safety, self-determination, and reconciliation in healthcare
- Has the ability to navigate complex health systems while advocating for community voice
- Values collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
