**The Role**
The Tactical Data Link (TDL) Test Manager is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex to very complex technical work within an integrated workforce supporting the integration and interoperability assurance of the Joint Data Network. They will exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role displaying sound decision-making and judgement to provide expert advice. They will have in-depth knowledge and are responsible for the execution of a test program providing assurance of a systems implementation of the nominated Joint Data Network standards.

JC2 SPO acquires and sustains joint information warfare capabilities that are mission critical to all three services of the Australian Defence Force.
- Managing and leading a team, including providing clear, consistent communication, setting/managing performance and behavioural standards, delegating responsibility and guiding/developing people.
- Exercising assigned technical authorities and Technical Regulatory Authority delegations;
- Providing, or leading a team to provide, high level specialist critical/very complex technical activities, finance, commercial, information management, quality management, risk and advice to Director JDNS, DJC2 SPO, Project and Product Directors/Managers and SPO staff;
- Making significant contributions to strategic direction, implementation and leadership of JC2 SPO, supporting organisational goals;
- Building effective relationships and negotiate outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
