**Opportunity**

Our Safety team works closely with our operations team to promote initiatives and implement safer ways of working to reduce the risk of our drivers, with the aim of zero harm.

ANC is all about appointing highly motivated people to deliver value to its clients and the best possible outcomes for our customers. We are seeking an individual to appoint to the critical role of **Safety Business Partner**, in our Safety Team.

The Safety Team is responsible for:

- Supporting, maintaining, and developing our Safety and Compliance Framework
- Leading initiatives and programmes to promote safe operation as a priority and lower the operational risk of our fleet
- Further build on the effectiveness of ANC’s work, health and safety systems
- Continue to improve ANC’s training with a focus on our objective of zero harm
- Manage ANC’s audit control and compliance requirements

The **Safety Business Partner** is an integral part of the Safety Team and will have responsibility of our internal safety systems, workflows, and process innovation.

This role will report to the National Manager Safety & Driver Performance, and work closely with other senior leaders including Business Managers and Operational Managers, to ensure we have efficient and effective safety measures in place to support the operational environment.

**What you will do**:

- Lead the business on activities that align to our safety plan, to create a strong safety culture
- Manage worker's compensation, and Return to Work activities for our employee workforce
- Provide quality advice regarding corrective actions relating to incidents and controls for identified hazards, ensuring appropriate analysis and implementation of actions to eliminate risk of further incidents
- Maximise opportunities to promote safety through new and existing communication channels, including providing safety updates and reporting
- Represent ANC at client and industry events - including and during the on-boarding process with new or potential clients
- Develop, deliver, and measure safety related training requirements across ANC
- Lead compliance activities through auditing, feedback, reporting, checklists and follow up - including monitoring compliance deadlines set within state teams according to legislation.

- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with demonstrable results of working across organisational teams and boundaries
- Experience with taking initiative in a constantly changing work environment, with resilience to overcome challenges and deliver in fluid conditions
- An ability to find solutions to safety issues with an innovative, analytical, and pragmatic mindset
- A long-term approach to relationships - doing what is right and safe for our customers, clients, people, and ANC
- Flexibility to frequently travel interstate to undertake safety activities and assist state-based teams
- Diploma in WHS, or above is essential
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role is desirable
- Certificate IV- TAE or TAA workplace training and assessment is desirable
- ICAM qualification or similar is desirable
