**This position is instrumental in partnering with operations and SWE team members to drive change and deliver continuous improvement programs. The Safety Lead - Assurance and Systems is responsible for the implementation of effective assurance and governance processes across the lifecycle of improvement projects, to ensure SWE risks are identified, assessed and controlled in line with Primary Connect’s risk appetite.

This role is accountable for the establishment and implementation of effective safety leadership principles when managing the review, evaluation and implementation of new and emerging technologies, systems or processes, as well as supporting the governance and assurance activities of the Assurance and Systems team.

**What you’ll do:
- Provide expert leadership, mentoring and guidance to ensure that safety standards and legislative requirements are met on Primary Connect projects/initiatives, as well as to comply with the Primary Connect Safety Management System
- Lead and deliver risk assessments throughout each phase of projects (e.g. pre-feasibility to implementation)
- Partner with the National Training Team to develop and deliver purposeful safety training
- Lead and ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of the Primary Connect risk management program (Hazard and Effects Management Process)
- Implement the Woolworths Group Material Risk Critical Controls into the Primary Connect risk management program Develop and coordinate the preparation and deployment of communication across multiple media channels to effectively share learnings, enable consultation, and drive change

**What you’ll bring:
- Formal qualifications in WHS or related area
- Experience in Project Management, auditing and self insured organisations
- Strong analysis and problem solving skills / analysing trends
- Business writing and reporting experience
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills
